Israel Museum turns annual gala into ‘Arti-Shuk’

For their annual gala last Monday night, the Israeli Friends of the Israel Museum brought back the ever popular “Arti-Shuk.” The evening included encounters in the museum’s different galleries between public figures and museum curators, the former including police superintendent Sharon Brown, journalists Tali Lipkin Shahak and Ron Ben-Yishai, artists Efrat Natan and Peter Jacob Maltz, songwriter Yankele Rotblit and celebrity pianist Leonid Ptaschka, among many others. A buffet dinner was served throughout the evening in the style of Jerusalem’s Mahane Yehuda Market, and included a wide variety of salads, meat and fish dishes and some delectable desserts.
